Dog Christmas Gifts: Ideas for Every Dog Lover on Your List

The best dog Christmas gifts for the people on your list are the ones that show their own dog on Christmas morning. At GenzOutfit that means holiday pajama pants printed with their dog’s face, photo socks for the stocking, a blanket for movie night, or a Christmas pajama set with their dog all over it. Below are ideas by recipient, a photo checklist and the order timing to plan around.

Are these Christmas gifts for dogs or for dog lovers?

For dog lovers. Everything in this guide is made for people to wear or use, and the dog supplies the picture. We don’t make toys, treats, sweaters or pajamas for dogs to wear, and we don’t sell matching dog-and-owner sets.

That still leaves plenty to give. A Christmas present is usually opened with an audience, and that changes what’s worth giving. Gifts that get a reaction tend to fall into four groups:

  • Something to wear: pajama pants printed with their dog are held up, recognized and often put on the same morning.
  • Something that matches: two people who share a dog can each wear the same dog.
  • Something for the stocking: a pair of socks with the dog’s face.
  • Something for the couch: a photo blanket for the long evenings between Christmas and New Year’s.

Which dog Christmas gifts do we make?

Every holiday pick below is made from a photo of their dog. Here is how they compare.

Gift Personalized? Sizes Good for
Custom Pet Face Pajama Pants, Christmas background Yes, their pet’s face on a red holiday print Men’s or Women’s cut, S–2XL Christmas morning and the family photo
Custom Pet Face Socks Yes, their pet’s face repeated all over 3 sizes: 12.5, 14 or 15.5 x 3.5 in Stocking stuffers and add-ons
Custom Pet Photo Blanket Yes, their whole photo, with an optional name 5 styles in fleece, sherpa or minky, 30″ x 40″ to 60″ x 80″ Anyone whose clothing size you don’t know
Custom Pet Face Satin Pajama Set Yes, their pet’s face on long-sleeve satin XS–5XL A bigger gift, ordered well ahead
Women’s Christmas Pet Face Short Pajama Set Yes, their pet’s face on a red or cream Christmas print S–3XL Christmas morning photos

The pajama pants and socks are printed in the USA, and so are our blankets. The satin set takes longer to arrive than everything else, so it needs the earliest order.

What should you get each dog lover on your list?

Looking for dog Xmas present ideas for several people at once? Start with the person, not the product. These are the people most Christmas lists include, with the gift that tends to suit each one.

The dog mom

The women’s cut of the Christmas pet face pajama pants puts her dog on a red print with snowflakes, holly and candy canes. If she’d rather have something for every season, the long-sleeve satin pajama set carries her dog’s face on a solid background. When you don’t know her size, the photo blanket can carry her dog’s name instead. More ideas for her are in our dog mom gift guide.

The dog dad

The men’s cut of the Christmas pajama pants is the obvious Christmas-morning pick. For a man who says he needs nothing, a pair of pet face socks with his dog on them is small enough to accept and hard to forget.

A couple who share one dog

Order a women’s and a men’s pair of the Christmas pajama pants and upload the same photo to both. Each pair is printed from the photo uploaded with it, so both of them wear the same dog in the holiday photo.

A home with two or more pets

Every pet can share one gift. Choose the number of pets (up to 5) in the options and upload one clear photo of each, so the dogs and the family cat end up on the same pajamas, socks or blanket.

A puppy’s first Christmas

A first Christmas with a new dog is a classic reason to order. Photograph the puppy now, because that face changes fast. Christmas pajama pants for the new owners, or a photo blanket with the puppy’s name, mark the year the dog came home.

The coworker, neighbor or dog walker

Pet face socks are the easy pick here: small, easy to wrap and made from a single photo. If you can’t ask the owner, a mutual friend or a shared group chat is usually the best place to find a clear picture of the dog.

Someone missing a pet this Christmas

The holidays can be hard after a pet has died. A playful print may feel wrong, so a quieter piece is kinder. A photo blanket with the pet’s name (up to 12 characters) gives a favorite picture a place to live. There are more gentle options in our pet memorial gifts.

How do you get a good photo without spoiling the surprise?

Most surprise gifts stall at the photo. These three routes work well, in this order:

  1. Ask the housemate. A partner, roommate or grown child can send the original file from their camera roll.
  2. Ask for a photo you both remember. A request for last summer’s beach photo, full size, sounds like nostalgia, not a gift plan.
  3. Use social media last. Apps shrink and compress photos, so a saved copy is often the smallest version there is.

Then check the photo itself. Holiday photos of dogs are often the wrong kind for printing. A Santa hat or antlers hide the ears, and tree lights or a fireplace cast an orange glow.

  • Take the upload photo in daylight near a window, before the decorating starts. Save the costume shots for the card.
  • Get close, with both ears, the top of the head and the chin in the frame. On pajamas and face socks, the face is cut out and repeated.
  • Make sure the eyes and nose are sharp when you zoom in on your phone.
  • Send the original file, not a screenshot.

Our team crops the photo and places it on the design. If a photo is too blurry, dark or low-resolution to print well, we email you before production. Each step is on our how personalization works page.

Can the whole family match on Christmas morning?

Yes, with one limit: our pajama pants come in adult sizes only. We don’t make kids’ sizes. For grown-ups, each person picks a men’s or women’s cut and a size, and you upload the same dog photo to every pair. That gives a set of matching family pajamas where the dog is the thread that ties everyone together.

Before ordering for other people, collect every size. Lay out a pair of pajamas each person already wears and compare it with the chart on our size guide. Custom items can’t be returned for a change of mind, and a family order has several chances to get one size wrong. If sizes are a mystery, mix in a blanket or socks.

When should you order dog Christmas gifts?

As early as you can. Every item is printed after you order, and the holiday season is busy for carriers. These are our production and US shipping ranges in business days:

Product Production US shipping
Pajama pants and short pajama sets 2–4 business days 2–9 business days
Crew socks 2–4 business days 2–9 business days
Landscape blankets and portrait fleece blankets 1–3 business days 5–7 business days
Portrait minky blankets 2–4 business days 2–9 business days
Satin long-sleeve pajama set 3–5 business days 9–11 business days

During the holiday season, shipping can take an extra 5–15 business days. Orders with two or more items add 1 business day of production. Deliveries to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and similar areas can take up to 40–45 business days.

We can’t promise delivery by a specific date, including Christmas. Count back from the day you need the gift, leave room for a photo we may have to ask you to replace, and order before that point. A few habits keep a holiday order moving:

  • Upload a photo that passes the first time. Waiting for a new picture in mid-December costs days.
  • Check every size before you pay. We print the size you order and can’t exchange it for another size.
  • Type the full US address and check it twice, especially when the gift ships straight to the recipient.

Current times are always on our shipping page.

What else belongs under the tree?

A few last ideas for wrapping up your Christmas dog presents:

  • A card from the dog. Sign it with a paw print. It pairs well with pajama pants for a partner.
  • A small set. Face socks plus a photo blanket, both from the same photo, make a two-part gift that looks planned.
  • Safe wrapping. Keep ribbon, string and any chocolate gifts out of the dog’s reach while presents sit under the tree.
