Crewneck or hoodie: which custom dog sweatshirt should you choose?

The two styles share the same fabric, the same face design and the same measurements from S to 5XL. The differences are the hood, the pocket and the size range.

Pick the custom dog crewneck if you like a clean neckline that layers under a jacket; with no hood or pocket, the front is one open surface for the face. Pick the custom dog hoodie if you want a hood and somewhere to put your hands. If you wear XS, the hoodie is the one that comes in your size.

How do the sizes compare?

From S to 5XL, the published body length, bust and sleeve measurements are the same for both styles. A size M crewneck and a size M hoodie are both listed at 28 in long, 44 in bust and 34.5 in sleeve. So if you know your size in one, you know it in the other.

The hoodie adds an XS, listed at 26 in long, 36 in bust and 32.5 in sleeve. At the other end, 5XL is listed at 34 in long and 68 in bust for both styles. Both are unisex.

Is a dog face sweatshirt printed or embroidered?

Printed. Both styles are printed in the USA with direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, which puts your actual photo on the fabric, so fur texture, markings and expression carry over. We don't offer embroidery, which turns a photo into a simplified stitched outline. If you were searching for an embroidered dog sweatshirt, this is a different product: a printed photo of your pet's face.

What photo works best on a personalized pet hoodie?

Both styles use the face design, and a print enlarges every flaw, so aim for a close shot where the head fills most of the picture:

• The whole face in frame, ear tips to chin, with nothing covering it
