Why it works
Sound familiar?
- He says he doesn’t need anything, every single year.
- Pajama sets for men are usually plain and forgettable.
- You aren’t sure he would wear something too fancy.
- You want the dog in the gift, not just a paw print.
He’ll wear the joke if the joke is his own dog.
A blue buffalo check men’s set with his dog, a classic look for Father’s Day or birthdays.
Gift for
Who is it for?
He is the dog dad who sends you the same dog video twice. He lives in shorts and a T-shirt at home and never buys pajamas for himself. You want a gift that is funny the first time and comfortable every time after.
Dog moms buying for the guy at home
Every dog mom has seen the slogan tees with somebody else’s breed. This blue buffalo check carries her own pup’s face, so his set finally matches her heart.
Cat dads and dog dads who live in plaid
Every flannel-loving dog dad finds plain pajamas boring. Navy and royal blue checks with his pet in every row feel familiar from the first night.
Cat people who skip the cartoons
Shelves of generic cat jokes leave cat people cold. Under this blue check sits their actual cat, trimmed from a quick phone photo by someone on our team.
Gift buyer for a brother or best friend
Your brother says he wants nothing and ends up with the same gift card every year. A blue plaid gift for him carrying his own pet gets remembered, because he sees it every weekend.
Families matching in plaid
Plaid family photos often mismatch, with three different checks and one bored dad. Put everyone in the same blue buffalo check and the same pet face, so that nobody looks like they wandered in.
Husbands and boyfriends in a couple’s photo
Your husband hates posing for couples pictures. A blue plaid set showing your shared dog or cat gives him something to laugh about instead of something to dread.
Grandpa with a grand-dog in another state
Grandpa in another state misses the daily chaos the grand-dog brings. Blue plaid printed with that scruffy face feels like a cozy visit at breakfast.
Owners of a newly adopted rescue
Adopted dogs settle in quickly, and their first season home slips past in a string of blurry snapshots. Pick the clearest one; it becomes a blue plaid keepsake of the year they arrived.
Holiday shoppers who like blue plaid
Generic holiday plaid is everywhere in December. This one carries his own pet, and because every piece is printed to order, ordering early keeps the season calm.
Keeping a lost pet in memory
After the loss of a long-time pet, a favorite photo can be easier to hold close than words. Classic blue plaid keeps the tribute quiet and warm.
Two dogs, one couch
With two dogs, someone always feels left out of the gift. Upload one photo per dog and both faces share the blue check, row by row.
Weekend plaid, just because
Not sure a blue plaid set for yourself is worth it? Your weekend look with your own pet needs no occasion, so treat yourself.
Cool blue moments
When do the plaid shorts come out?
Blue plaid pajamas feel classic all year, not only in December.
- Clipping on the leash for the first walk of the day
- Porch-step sunsets after dinner
- Couch giggles with your partner and the dog squeezed in
- Pillow fights on a lazy Saturday
- Summer nights when men’s sleepwear shorts beat long pants
- Father’s Day for the dad who likes his plaid in blue
Blue check, your pet
Your pet on the Blue Plaid background
This listing shows the Blue Plaid background, a printed buffalo check of royal blue, navy and near-black squares. Your pet’s face, edged with a thin white outline, repeats in staggered rows over the shorts and the shirt, with full faces on the chest and clear of the V-neck and buttons. The check is printed, not woven. Our photos use an example German shepherd, and any background in the options can be yours.

What colors are in the Blue Plaid?
